The last dance

   Sebastian slowly started to play a beautiful melody on the old dusty piano.His fingertips gently touching the keys,bringing the music to life. It was a beautiful melancholic melody,as if it was moonlight itself. The big empty hall of the mansion was vibrating with sound. It felt like it would be heard in the forest and past it but they would not care,they were free right in that moment.She took to the floor and started to sway.

   Step by step,her movement turned to dance. Swaying slowly side to side.She could almost imagine it. Both of them locked in,hand in hand,swaying with the music. The ballroom,candlelit,they both surrounded by onlookers,eager to take the floor themselves but being mesmerised by the couple in the dance, they were unable to disturb the couple´s flow,they would not dare.The loved up couple would dance,so happy,so in love and would be the talk of the night. Thinking of this,her movement sped up,she started to spin and dance and sway faster. Lost in the fantasy,lost in the moment,she was laughing,pure bliss. It felt as the music was getting louder and the couple were both enjoying this moment of theirs. For the moment,they could enjoy it before they find them. She kept dancing and laughing,how happy,she was lost in this moment and the fantasy of hers. Sebastian,a lone piano player in this big ballroom,sitting behind his old piano with a single candle,was keeping an eye on her,letting out a big smile. It made him happy seeing her so happy,lost and forgetting. She deserved it. After all they been through,it was nice to see this unfold and just then,he wished this would never end. Blue moonlight was coming through the massive windows,illuminating the abandoned mansion,the ballroom and the dancer. The moon lent it´s light to the music,to musician and his dancer.It was a fairytale unfolding. Then,she slowly opened her eyes,still lost in her dance and just for a second,she saw them.The lights in the window,torches,hundreds. They are coming. They know where she and Sebastian are,and they would be here very soon. She stopped. Standing still,thoughts were rushing through her mind. What to do,where to go. They both knew they would be found but now that it is happening,what´s next. Sebastian gave her another look while letting out a big smile,and then he saw it,his love has stopped her dance. She was still,looking out of the window,petrified and then he knew. The smile dropped. The music stopped. They were coming.

   He stood up and rushed towards her. Alisa snapped out of it,looked at him and saw his eyes. He was terrified. She was hoping he would have a plan but she knew at that moment,that both of them did not know what to do. He looked at her,grabbed her hand and they made their way towards the stairs. Suddenly,the door in front of them closed,fast and loud. Window shutters,started to close one after another until the couple was completely locked in the ballroom,in a complete darkness with nothing but a single candle. Couple stood still,terrified,petrified. They knew the mob was a little bit away and it would take them a little bit of time to get to them but he,he found them. He is not human,he found them and he was here now. They turned to the candle,to grab the only source of light they had in this massive dark,dusty room and then,they saw him. He was holding the candle now,right in front of them. They knew there will be no running. That moment the knew,they have been caught. He gave them last look,let out a big sinister smile and blew out the candle.
