Grissom questions...(Alice)

Image
It was mayor Rudley who found Alice. A man in his 60’s, tall, slim and always looked so serious. Mayor: “I was on my way to the office when I saw something in the middle of the road from the corner of my eye”, he continued… -“I thought it was wild animal hit by a car, you know we have a lot of these incidents with the woods around but then I noticed all this red, which turned out to be the dress”. -“I approached the body and realised it was Alice Wimslow, the Wimslow family girl and called you right there and then.”-Mr Rudley concluded his story. -“And what time was that Mr mayor?”-asked detective Grissom. -“Around 6 in the morning, I had to be early in the office and was in a rush.” -“Did you touch or find anything at the scene of the crime that we should know about? Please be honest!”-detective asked. -“No, I did not and called you as soon as I understood what happened”. -“Ok, thank you Mr Rudley, we will be in touch soon if you do not mind. We migh...

Alice

Image
Alice. That was her name. Everyone loved her and would describe her as full of life, sweet, smart girl. Nobody expected to find her in the middle of the road in town square, on one of these days. Nobody ever expected anything like this. Not in this quiet, small town. Not here, not today. Of all the people it was Alice. Beautiful, very smart girl. She aced high school, great career prospects and lots of friends. Why?Who?How?    It was a cold day and lately it’s been raining a lot. It seemed like it will be a cold wet autumn this year, more so than usual. The crowd started to gather around. Crowd of horrified and disturbed faces. You could clearly see the anger in some and fear in the others. This has never happened. Who would do such a thing and will it happen again? Was it random or cold and calculated? The air was cold that day, clouds gathered and many feared that worst is yet to come. Even though people in this town knew each other well and were close,...

Miss Foster had a canary bird

Image
Miss Foster had a canary bird. She really loved her canary and treated her like her best friend. Because Miss Foster did not have any friends or family, her canary was the only one she would talk to. She would dot around the bird every day.Give it water, more food and always clean it's cage but she would never let her little friend out of the cage from the fear of loosing it. The first thing she would do when she wakes up and the last thing she would do before going to bed,is checking on the bird to make sure it stays where it is from the fear of loosing her only friend.    Miss Foster had a canary bird. Although she really loved her little canary and treated it like her best friend, she would never let the canary out of the cage. The canary would sing every day and Miss Foster always thought it was lovely, but the bird wasn't singing because it was mellow or happy,it was singing for the big wide open world just outside the window which was right next to the cage. Train ride home

Image
It was an early evening. The sun just started to set and warm rays of sun were shinning through the train windows. The train was going steady and every minute Alex was closer to getting home. His green eyes were focused on the newspaper in hands and he was really immersed in his reading. It was a story about a local music scene and what was happening in town. Even though he was immersed in the paper, he did notice form the corner of his eye, that beautiful girl sitting on the opposite side of train. She was reading a book. Which book he couldn’t make out by the way she was holding it, but whatever it was it must have been really good. She looked like she was experiencing every emotion character in that book have felt and it made for an interesting observation. Once she started turning to next page she noticed him smiling at her. She didn’t know who he was or why he was smiling at her, yet even though she noticed and was looking back at him, it didn’t seem to phase hi...

The Darkness I saw that night

Image
Everybody was talking about him. Some say they saw him in the middle of a clear day while others say they saw him drive by late at night. At this point you don’t know, are people looking for something to talk about or is this all true. I heard the stories but I had my doubts. These are some serious accusations but who am I to judge without knowing it all, besides, innocent until proven guilty, right? Right?     I should have listened, stayed away and minded my own business but I didn’t. I saw him…who he was and what he did, and oh..he knew. Last thing I remember before you found me, is this darkness, it was a very dark night, all lights in the houses were gone. It was completely quiet, peaceful. Too quiet. I remember running, thinking to myself that if he catches me, God knows what will happen to me. I am not prepared to take that risk, I have to get out of here, I have to keep running. I was running along the train tracks, knowing that with a head start...
