This Summer moment
Heat.Blazing,what seems to be never ending heat. Sun high up in
the sky,showering whole of land,all of the people with it’s warmth.The
warmth is welcomed but soon you realize that blessing is a curse in
disguise.Burning into skin,blinding the eye. It feels as though the city
itself is melting. The harsh tall brick,hot in the blazing sunlight.
The people seeking refuge from the sun,cooling themselves like the wild
savanna animals. The heat bring happy memories for some,the fun,the good
times.Smiles,reckless abandon,innocence and youth are all part of
infectious summer air. You can feel it,all around you,enveloping you.But
not all are feeling the good grace of the light. Some see it as a
curse,as a nuisance,burning the gentle pale skin of the broken heart or a
feeble mind. For some it’s a reminder of the tough times or a horrid
past,for some,it’s another trouble,an issue to deal with in the complex
game of life and every day pursuits.
The innocence of the children’s heart seizes the moment for the better. Seizes the light as a sign for bonding,seizes the heat as a sign of comforting embrace of the world around. The nature flourishes,the light is bright and some of the darker hearts see the light as the way to move forward. Summer time is special. Like every season it has it’s perks.The way it makes people come out of their homes,come out of their shells and brings the nature to it’s fullest bloom. It brings this world together,it starts conversation and ends the great moment experienced by many and few. For some,it’s a painful reminder,a physical pain,an uncomfortable hindrances in the way of every day pursuits. However you treat the summer,the light,I think we can all agree it has different affect on different people. It's funny how for some something painful and physically painful,might be the best time of their life, for others.If it does affect you in a negative way,now is the time to embrace the light,seize the moment,get closer with those around you and make the light the ally you are avoiding. If you are one of those who see the light as a blessing,bask in the glory of it. Whether it makes your flowers or your crops grow,whether it’s an excuse to get yourself to that beach,put on a cute top or go out with your friends. Embrace it.
As we all know,nothing lasts for ever and before we all know,the cold blanket of winter will cover us all and we all will be earning for that summer light and heat,unless your in LA dear reader,then your all set! I digress,the summer time,now is the time to get out of your room,office and our of your hamster wheel every day life and enjoy the rays,the light,the heat and warmth. You might not feel like it but just for a moment it just might make you feel better. It just might change your view on things or remind you of those happier times. Who knows,that one moment might be that happy summer time you remember long gone. Love it or hate it,it’s here,embrace it before it’s gone.You owe to yourself to stop for a second,see the sky,see the world around you and enjoy this summer moment.
